My name is Greg Fox.
I’m an artist and musician from New York City. I’ve been working professionally as a drummer since 2006, playing in my own projects, collaborating with other artists, and contributing to recordings and performances across a wide range of settings. Beyond my work as a drummer, I’ve also released electronic music albums, and I’ve composed music and done sound design for films, video games, and works of fine art. I’ve been profiled and my work has been written about in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Rolling Stone, The Village Voice, Modern Drummer, among others.
I am known primarily for my solo work and my past contributions with Liturgy, Zs, and Ben Frost. Beyond these, I’ve recorded and toured in many other contexts, playing festivals and concerts throughout the USA, Europe, and Japan. As of 2025, my discography is in the vicinity of nearly 100 albums and recording projects.
In addition to my creative work, I offer a few services that are closely connected to my practice.
I run a recording studio called Studio Te, where I work as an engineer, producer, and composer. I also take on session work, contributing drums or other instrumentation to recording projects when needed.
I offer private drum lessons for students at all levels. My approach focuses on fluency, control, and the ability to clearly express musical ideas through the hands, heart, and body as a whole.
I’m also a Certified Professional Coach. Since 2019, I’ve worked with hundreds of clients—mostly artists and musicians—on things like completing projects, navigating stuck points, managing relationships and communication, and building creative structure. My training includes elements of gestalt and transpersonal therapy, internal family systems, and parts work. While coaching isn’t about telling people what to do, I’m not withholding—if there’s a way I can be directly helpful, I always am.
